Arwen says she was attacked by a giant monkey monster in the forest. Although she's wasn't hurt, she was angry that something like this was still happening because Grendel the Really Old had casted the magic of darkness during his days of youth. Let's go find Grendel the Really Old.
Grendel the Really Old admits that he did, indeed, make a mistake a while back when he was young that is still affecting Ellinia. He asks you to find Fanzy the cat in The Forest North of Ellinia to see what information you can get regarding the monster that attacked Arwen.
